MTV briefed us to create an application that would allow users to express their mood in Facebook. The target demographic was University students and to be promoted within the MTVu network.

As a well-known US and global client, Techlightenment were asked to assist on all aspects of the application production. Guiding and directing the creative and integrating it within the Facebook platform, the application was well received by users.

Highly usable and fluid, the mood ring application was designed to ensure a smooth user experience. More importantly, the whole process was 'socialised', so as to ensure that users would not only pass on the application to their friends, but that they felt part of something.

The application was well-crafted, with appropriate creative. The key social and viral elements ensured that the application had lasting appeal. It was a great foray for MTV into the social media landscape and indicated a brand interest in understanding and helping users.
