The application was made in conjunction with SonyBMG so as to promote the new Dylan album and single. The application was an immediate critical success and is an ongoing success; widely heralded by many as the 'coolest' Facebook application to-date.

SonyBMG briefed Techlightenment to create an application that would work within Facebook. We responded by creating an application that leveraged current Dylan assets. The application faciltated user communication and fun and hence was an immediate success. On the day of launch, our seeding had ensured that there were many thousands of users utilising the application.

Reuters reported a week following the launch of the application, that searches for Bob Dylan online had risen three-fold. The application was embraced online; given the traditional bad press the music industry receives, the campaign was regarded as huge social media success.

With perfectly integrated creative, a successful seeding strategy the application was able to fly through Facebook, maintaining a robust long-tail; longer than the corresponding micro-site. A tremendous success in terms of user engagement and a success for SonyBMG.
