BT Fon, a community wifi service, were looking for innovative ways to communicate their core message: that communities acting together get great benefits.
Working with creative agency Albion, Techlightenment developed the "Mexican Wave" application on facebook. Through careful viral engineering, and groundbreaking use and rendering of flash video, the application proved a success with users.
Techlightenment's Social Media service delivered over 35,000 users in three weeks, whilst Social Analytics shows that viral spread of the application was strong from outset, with over 25% of daily new users originating from existing users
